HI

I'm Nadica—a wanderer between mountains and worlds, a teacher of yoga asana, and an eternal student of life.

From an early age, sport was my natural language—the one that taught me discipline, dedication, and joy. One phrase, in particular, from the book 1000 Whys – 1000 Answers stayed with me. It was printed in large letters: A HEATLHY MIND IN A HEALTHY BODY...

about me

Beginings

1982 I was born in 1982 into a loving and humble family, in a home where sport was always part of everyday life. My childhood was active and adventurous—riding my bike, playing neighbourhood games, basketball and football, camping at Ljubaništa, spending weekends by Lake Treska, and almost always coming home with a new scrape on my knees or elbows. 1992 In 1992, I joined the women's handball club Gjorče Petrov. What I had really wanted was to play football, but at the time there were no girls' football clubs.

The years in sport

In 1999 I earned a place on Macedonia's national youth handball team, and together we competed at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Denmark, where we finished fourth. It was a time of big dreams and a profound education in discipline, teamwork, victory and defeat. I continued playing competitively until 2005 at WHC "Olympic".

After graduating from Korčagin High School and earning my degree in Economics (2004)I chose to continue my journey in sport—this time from a different perspective. From 2008 until 2023 I worked at Skopje's three largest sports centres—"Forza", "Boris Trajkovski", and "Jane Sandanski" — where I was leading and working in sports management, event organisation, and marketing. In 2017 I became a certified European Handball Manager in Cologne, Germany, completing another important chapter in my professional development within sports management. My final official role before changing careers was with the Olympic Committee of North Macedonia.

The road to yoga

Alongside all those years in sport, there was always another, quieter calling—a desire to understand what lies beneath. Beneath physical strength, beneath movement, beneath the pursuit of being faster, higher, stronger. That curiosity eventually led me to yoga. Around 2004, my interest in yoga and spirituality began to deepen. 2004 .

My first steps were humble: photocopied pages from Yoga for Everyone by Jasmina Puljo and typewritten copies of The Yoga Sutras with Taimni's commentaries. I became part of a spiritual community where we practised Hatha Yoga, meditation, mantra chanting, haiku poetry, karma yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Tantra Yoga, and spiritual disciplines. At the time, yoga was still a rarity and, for many people, something of a mystery. It was a period when these subjects were seldom discussed and often misunderstood. Yet it was there that the curiosity for this inner world was born—a curiosity that continues to guide me today. For me, it felt like discovering an entirely new dimension.

Since 2004 to 2010 Between 2004 and 2010, I practised both Pilates and yoga, and from 2006 2006 onwards I also began teaching Pilates and yoga group classes at Junior Sports Centre „Love Your Body“

Between 2010 and 2016 годинаBetween 2010 and 2016, I continued to explore and learn from a variety of movement traditions, including Hatha Yoga, the Tibetan Rites, Tai Chi Chuan, and Qigong. Each of these approaches offered a different way of moving, breathing, and relating to myself. Those years were a time of exploration, as I searched for the place where body and mind, discipline and presence, could come together.

Over the years, what began as a physical practice became a journey inward—a way to listen to the body, quiet the mind, and open the heart.

Teachers and certifications

My formal Ashtanga Yoga education began with teacher training under Neda Kocareva. Since then, I have continued to deepen my practice through regular study, attending David Wexelman's classes in Leipzig twice a year, as well as intensive workshops with Ashish Kumar, Bianca Oliveira, and Katrina Mukina. Over the years, I have also learned from the teachings of Richard Freeman, Mary Taylor, Gregor Maehle, Eddie Stern, David Robson, Jelena Vesić, Maty Ezraty, and many others through books, lectures, and countless hours of recorded classes. Perhaps the greatest teacher, however, has been practice itself. For nearly a decade, I have maintained a personal practice four or five days a week, returning again and again on the mat and to the books and notes that continue to reveal something new each time I read them. And beyond all formal study, I continue to find some of my most important teachers in the people and everyday moments that quietly surround me.

Nature as My Teacher

Over the years, my relationship with movement found a new expression beyond sports halls and yoga studios. My love for adventure continued to unfold in the mountains, forests, and open landscapes. I cycled through many of Macedonia's wild and beautiful places, and in 2013 I joined the Macedonian Tour de France Expedition, riding through the French Alps while following stages of the Tour de France. It remains one of the most memorable adventures of my life. The journey was later captured in the documentary Freedom on Two Wheels, which was screened at the EHO Festival in 2015..

Since 2019 , hiking has become an important part of my life. I've explored nearly every mountain range in Macedonia, as well as many trails in Greece, Bulgaria, and Slovenia. In 2024 2024, I completed my introductory training in rock climbing and became an active member of the Alpine Club "Skopje".

I never travelled to India, but for me the mountains, cliffs, forests, and rivers have become the greatest temples — places where meditation comes naturally.

Today

Yoga is woven into my everyday life. I maintain a regular practice of asana and meditation, but I also find yoga in the smallest, simplest moments of the day—in those brief seconds of awareness when the mind grows quiet and a sense of wonder for life naturally arises. My interest in yoga has gradually expanded into a lifelong exploration of spirituality, Buddhism, Sufism, quantum physics, psychology, art, philosophy, film, and music. It is the meeting point between science and mystery that continues to inspire and guide me.

Every practice—whether physical, mental, or spiritual—is simply a different expression of the search for truth. And in the end, we come to realise that the Truth is a pathless land

MY WORLD

Behind our thoughts, there is a quiet space — a place of deep presence and awareness of everything around us. That is the space I hope to bring into every yoga class. My wish is that, by the end of each class, we leave carrying a small sense of magic that arises when we share that space together. A moment where time seems to stop, the mind becomes clear, and we part with smiling eyes.
